Small garden, Heyworth Road. Stratford 2012

Before: A small overgrown and neglected garden, shaded by three holly trees.

The Client Brief : 'a lawn area big enough to lie on, bright colourful flowers, a black bamboo and more privacy'

We decided to remove one of the trees to allow more light and then lifted and shaped the remaining trees.

The small garden was then divided diagonally by a new curved lawn and a flower border, planted with colourful perennials, shrubs, grasses. The tall Phyllostachys nigra planted at the garden entrance can be seen and heard from the outside dining area

Fences were renewed and painted a warm grey, which creates the illusion of a larger space and seasonal climbers are planted along it's length.
